Frequently asked questions
General
Yes. Violk portable cameras, like the Violk 1233, are designed for versatility and feature a driver-free USB output. This allows you to connect the camera directly to Android smartphones (using the included OTG cable) or laptops. You can then use the Visualscopy HD or Violk Capture software to record procedures and capture images on your mobile device.
Violk mobile units are designed to be "all-in-one" systems that work with a wide range of rigid endoscopes. They are fully compatible with standard ENT tools, including:
Sinuscopes
Otoscopes
Laryngoscopes
The systems also feature universal light cable ports compatible with major brands like Storz, Olympus, and Wolf.
Most Violk portable units utilize an imported 1/3" CCD chip that delivers a resolution of up to 800 TV lines (TVL). For specialized surgical needs, premium Full HD models are available that utilize CMOS chips to achieve over 1000 lines of resolution, providing clearer stereoscopic images.
New Violk endoscopy mobile units typically come with a 1-year warranty. Technical support is available for software setup (such as Violk Capture) and troubleshooting image issues like white balance or color settings, which can be adjusted using the menu buttons located directly on the camera head.
To ensure the longevity of your equipment, follow these maintenance guidelines:
Sterilization: Violk rigid endoscopes are made of high-quality stainless steel and can be sterilized via gas or soaking.
Handling: Do not rinse the camera head with acidic or alkaline liquids, and avoid wiping the lens with hard cloths.
Storage: Always turn off the instrument switch before the main power and ensure the fiber optic cables are not excessively bent during storage.
While many portable units offer standard 800 TVL resolution, Violk's Full HD CMOS variants support 1920 x 1080p resolution with progressive scan technology.
Recording: These systems can record high-definition video directly to a USB pen drive or laptop.
Speciality Modes: Some HD models include built-in modes for different surgeries like ENT, Laparoscopy, and Hysteroscopy to optimise colour and contrast
